Chapter Seventy Six: No one survives a Zombie Apocalypse

Hmm, how do I even begin to tell you about today. Well for me personally the best thing that happened to me today, scrap that, the best thing to ever happen to me was being body slammed into a wall by a Zombie that sprung from across the corridor and didn’t give me chance to react. My shoulder is black and blue from the impact but my god it is so so worth the pain.

So yes, today was the day of my Zombie Apocalypse events day, I seriously could not praise this experience enough even when it had ended I simply could not shut up about everything that had happened the whole thing was amazing. It was better than amazing; it took my expectations and crushed them with how awesome the experience really was. I was body slammed into a wall twice by the same guy who laughed at me both times, ripped my jeans on the crotch because I slid on the floor, fired an empty gun, got lost in the dark and was pounced on in the pitch black by a dude in rags stood in front of me waiting for my torch to come on.

The whole experience was so real, there was a time in which I needed to return to the safe zone in need of more amo and walking back through the dark corridors all on my own with nothing but a torch and an empty gun was terrifying! I have never been so scared but so excited at the time. I wanted Zombies; I deliberately went to seek them out and kept my torch on in order to locate them. But at the same time I never wanted to be stuck on my own so I stuck with groups.

The three hours was set out into four sessions, session one started at roughly half one when we were handed infection control forms to fill in, a police officer collected the forms and took them away to be documented, as soon as she had left the lights went out and there were a lot of banging and screaming at the entrance door followed by a military man screaming at us to move and the sound of gun shots. This lead us into stage two in which we were told what had happened and why we were, along with providing us with jackets, guns, water and a torch. Along with training of course.

Once we all knew how to use the gun they took us out into the game, a pitch black corridor that was silent and dark enough that you couldn’t see anything in front of you, with the military, they took us around the building doing missions and battling Zombies with their help. After this though, oh once stage one had ended they threw us out into the dark on our own with more Zombies, more clever, quicker and much more aggressive this for me was amazing! I ain’t the fittest person but even if I had broken my ankle I was powering though and fulfilling this dream! I managed to latch onto a team of professionals but even they got infected when I did and I was back at the safe zone for all of five minutes before going back out there! I wasn’t missing anything!

I know by morning all my muscles are going to be stiff and sore but I really don’t care, I have had the best day of my life and I will never forget it. It will stay with me forever and I will defiantly go back again and again. Money well spent.
